Speedmart Blog
Mother Nature smiled on us again in the Pacific Northwest. Despite the threat of bad weather, both Deming, Skagit and Grays Harbor got their races in this weekend. Speedmart track trucks were on hand at Deming and Skagit to help service teams - thanks to everyone who came out and came by the trailer.
On Friday night, Deming Speedway winners were:
Chance Crum - Focus Midgets and Speedmart 600 Open
Brock Lemley - 4 out of the last 6 for Brock and his Henchcraft in the 1200s
Malachi Gemmer - 600 Restricted
Levi Hillier - Junior Sprints
At Skagit Speedway, we had 41 sprint cars in the pits between two divisions, including two of our own staff: Barry was back in a 360 Sprint Car for the night, finishing 10th in a loaded field.
In the Sportsman Sprints, Kelsey got tuned up for next weeks Sportsman Showdown by setting a New Track Record in time trials!
A late race mishap cost Kelsey a shot at the win, but it was an overall positive night for Team Speedmart at the track. Congrats to all the division winners, Cam Smith in the 360s, Michael Bollinger in the Sportsman, Kevin Smith in the Modifieds and Howard Vos in the Tuners.
With the biggest Sportsman and 360 races of the year at Skagit Speedway coming up in the next two weeks, it's important to get your tires ordered early, as demand will be through the roof! It will be a busy week at the shop, so be sure to call us early and often at 800-664-2788. We appreciate all of your support - we know how important racing is to you, because we race too! See you at the track and remember, Free Freight Wednesday!
