2nd Annual Big Al Memorial

Friday
Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200's would go wingless for the 2nd Annual Big Al Memorial weekend at Deming Speedway. Derek Holmwood would start ninth, making his way to the top spot by lap 10 and then would cruise onto the win. JJ Hickle would follow in second and Seth Hespe would finish third.
Steven Hendrickson, Eric Turner and Nate Vaughn would take heat wins. Seth Hespe set Quick Time.
Derek would be at the top of the points at the end of the night with Seth Hespe following in second and Jared Gundersen and JJ Hickle tied for the third spot.
Ryley Mayer would make his first win a memorable one by taking the win in the SpeedMart/Hoosier 600 feature on the first night of the 2nd Annual Big Al Memorial Race. Ryley would take the top spot on lap 20 as leader Chance Crum would get out of the groove and Ryley was able to take advantage. Jared Peterson would get past Chance for second and Chance would take third.
The B feature was won by Devon Borden. Heats were won by Kaitlyn Hammer, Isaac Abernoth, Brock Lemley and Jesse Schlotfeldt. Derek Torkelson would set Quick Time.
Top three in points as of Friday night would be Jared Peterson, Ryley Mayer and Kaitlyn Hammer.
Kaden Holm would make a late race pass on leader Colin Mackey to go on to win the feature event in the MyTrafficman.net 600 Restricted class. Peyton Hagen would go on and take second as Colin would hold on to third.
Kaden would also take a heat win and Bailey Sucich and Levi Klatt would take wins as well. Kaden also set Quick Time.
Kaden, Jesse Schlotfeldt and Peyton Hagen would be the top three Friday point leaders.
Haley Constance would make a last lap pass on a race shortened feature to win the Kasey Kahne Junior Sprint main event. She would pass leader Peyton Drake in turns three and four on the last lap to take the win. Peyton would take second as Blaine Granberg would finish third.
Heats would be won by Haley, Karlyn Kocher and Blaine. Haley also go fast time.
Haley would take high point honors with Blaine and Carson Borden rounding out the top three Friday point leaders.
Jacob Brown would get into the winners circle in the Ford Focus Midget Series feature by passing leader Jonathan Jorgenson midway through the race. Jonathan would finish in second and Jared Peterson would take third.
Nick Evans, Michael Millard and Chance Crum would take the heat wins. Jared Peterson set fast time.
Jared, driving the James Brown Racing #29, would be your points leader with Nick Evans and JJ Hickle finishing the top three.
Saturday
The Saturday format for the 2nd Annual Big Al Memorial would have no qualifying, heats would be lined up using the previous nights points. Heats would line up fully inverted.
The points collected from the heats would be added to the previous night points to line up the feature event, also fully inverted.
It would be Dustin O'Brien, piloting the Johnson #7R, would take the win in the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 division. He would come from his fourth starting spot taking the lead on the fifth lap and would go on to pretty easily take the win. Eric Turner would follow in second and Jared Gundersen came in third.
Heat winners were Derek Holmwood, Dustin and Dwayne Mackey.
Derek would take the Big Al Memorial point championship for the division.
Ashleigh Johnson, who had been fighting motor issues all weekend, finally got everything to work to go on and take the feature win in the SpeedMart/Hoosier 600 division. Ashleigh came through the B feature, started on the pole and would dominate the main event take the win. Isaac Abernoth and Alden Ostrom finished second and third.
The B feature would be won by Peyton Reed. Heats were won by Kyle Mitchell, Sawyer Sorgenfrei, Jesse Schlotfeldt and Tanner Holm.
Jared Peterson would take the point championship.
The MyTrafficman.net 600 Restricted division would see Dakota Drake make a daring pass on lap six to go onto take the win in the race shortened feature event.
Jesse Schlotfeldt would take the second spot as Haley Constance would finish third, on her second night out in her restricted car.
Heats were won by Ben Ferrara, Casey Star and Tyler McLeod.
Jesse Schlotfeldt would go on the get the Big Al Memorial point championship.
Haley Constance would come from the back to take the win in the Kasey Kahne Junior Sprint feature event. She would also take the Big Al Memorial point championship for the second time.
Alex Gouy and Carson Guffie would take second and third in the feature event.
Alex would also get second in points as Peyton Drake would take third in the points.
Mitchell Helsel, Blaine Granberg and Austin Held were heat winners.
Nick Evans would come from 13th to take the win in the Ford Focus Midget Series feature event as there would be a lot of close racing within the top 10.
Eric Turner finished second and Jared Peterson came in third.
Heats were won by Jared Peterson, Eric Turner and Cody Ridge.
Jared Peterson would take the Big Al Memorial point championship.
