Deming Speedway 5/6/16 - Jesse wins in Oregon 5/7/16

The night would be one of first's and repeats at Deming Speedway.

Dallas Melby would take his PGH Racing #51 to the winners circle for his first win in the SpeedMart/Hoosier 600's.  Dallas would take the lead early and lead every lap of the 25 lap main event.  Liam Ryan would get up on his rear bumper late in the race, but wouldn't quite have enough to get past Dallas and he would finish in the runner up spot.  Evan Margeson would take his first podium finish of 2016 with a third place.

Brock Lemley would win the B feature.  Heats would be won by Derek Torkelson, Josh Monroe, Evan Margeson and Reese Wickard.  The four quick times would be Jared Peterson, Kevin Wilkinson, Chance Crum and Jesse Sclotfeldt.

 

The Shots2 Go Espresso 1200's would see Brock Lemley take his second win of 2016, in the 1200 division.  Derek Holmwood would take to the early lead as Brock would work his way from fourth and take the lead on lap 13.  Derek would remain in second with Tyson Cross finishing in third.

 

Brock would have a clean sweep as he would win his heat and set quick time in his group time trial section.  Steven Hendrickson would win the other heat and Jared Gundersen would have quick time in the other group section.

 

Jesse Schlotfeldt got his first win of 2016 at Deming Speedway in the Mytrafficman.net 600 Restricted division, breaking three in a row winner Colby Thornhill's streak.  Jesse would take the lead from the get go and never look back as Tyson Lemley, with his best finish of 2016, would follow behind him in the second spot.  Colby would make his way from his fifth starting spot to take third.

 

Heat winners were Ashleigh Johnson, driving her sister Allison's #4, Tyson Lemley and Kaden Holm.  Quick times were Colby Thornhill, Katie Turner and Jesse Schlotfeldt.

 

The Kasey Kahne Junior Sprints would see repeat winner Macie Logsdon take the win.  This would be Macie's third win of the season.  Macie would have to get by early leader Lane Taylor to get the win.  She would pass him on lap 10.  Blaine Grandberg would come from his seventh starting spot to take second and Alex Gouy would finish third.

 

Heats would be won by Macie, Alex and Hayley Constance.  Quick times were set by Macie, Alex and Hayley.

 

The Northwest Focus Midgets made their first appearance of 2016 with Chance Crum taking the win.  Chance would have to battle Colton Heath early, taking the lead on lap four and not looking back.  Colton would give chase but wouldn't be able to rein him in.  He would settle for second.  Nick Evans would come from seventh to finish third.  Nick would also get the SpeedMart Hard Charger award.

The B feature would be won by Brian Aune and the heats were won by Jacob Brown, Nick Evans and Colton Heath.  Chance, Tanner Holm and Ryan Cully would set quick times.

 

Jesse Schlotfeldt would continue is winning ways down at Sunset Speedway Park in Banks, Oregon.  He would take wins in both the 600 Restricted and 600 Open classes.  He would make it a clean sweep as he would take heat wins, trophy dashes and quick times in each class.

 

Following Jesse in the 600 Restricted feature event would be Dakota Drake in second and Bailey Jean in third. 

In the 600 Open Ashleigh Johnson would come in second and Jeff Little was third.  Ashleigh would also get a heat win.
